Please note that the Historical Society of Mount Airy, Maryland, Inc. is a non-profit  501(c)3 corporation and donations made to the Historical Society are tax-deductible.  If you have additional questions about membership and/or donations, please call or email us as listed on the Contact Us page.

Be a Volunteer

The Historical Society of Mount Airy, Maryland is an

all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to

fostering interest in the town history, and to

informing the public about our history.  To accomplish

this mission, The Historical Society has established

and maintains a museum for the display and

preservation of artifacts, photographs and other

historic memorabilia related to the town history,

and to educate the public about our history. 

To operate the museum, we are in need of many

volunteers to complete the many tasks required

to preserve the collection, research and prepare

exhibits, and keep the museum open.  If you can

spare some time and have an interest in preserving

and sharing the history of Mount Airy and its

surrounding area, become a member of the

Historical Society and offer your talents as a volunteer.

the paper form here and either bring in to the museum
